It was revealed yesterday July 29 that an employee at West Chester University had tested positive for Legionnaires’ disease. Following this diagnosis, an investigation was conducted to find the source of infection.
Eight cooling towers of campus buildings tested positive for higher than acceptable levels of Legionella bacteria. The buildings that tested positive included:
- 201 Carter Drive
- FHG Library
- Main Hall
- Merion Science Center
- Schmucker Science Center
- Sykes Student Union
