Among the 14 confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease linked to the Glenwood Nursing Home in Florence, Alabama, it is known that ten were residents and three were visitors. One of these visitors was an elderly woman in her 80s who ultimately died from her illness on Thursday, October 17. Alabama State Health officials did not name the woman who was being treated at a hospital in Tuscaloosa.
