There are three confirmed cases of Legionnaires ’ disease in Croydon, a large town in South London, England. The laboratory tests show that the cases each have different strains of the Legionella bacteria, which indicates that the three cases are not directly related. All sporadic cases in the area are being reviewed to see if there are any links to the three newly discovered cases.
Any individuals who feel unwell and show signs of Legionnaires’ disease are encouraged to contact their doctor.
