An employee at the Overbrook Child Development Center located at 111 Laurens Road, Greenville SC was diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease. According to a Greenville County School spokesman, parents with children attending the child development center are being notified of the case. The center was cleaned and disinfected and is operating on a regular schedule. The school district officials also contacted state health officials and the district’s certified industrial hygienist as a precaution.
Oby Lyles, a Greenville County School spokesman, said that the school was cleaned and disinfected on Tuesday, Oct. 29, after consulting with the South Carolina Department of Health.
