While the outbreak in Scotland has officially ended, another cluster of Legionnaires’ disease cases has arisen in Stoke-on-Trent. According to reports by The Guardian and other sources, 16 people have acquired the disease since Tuesday and one victim has passed away. Eight patients remain in the hospital. The Health Protection Agency insisted that the outbreak was not hospital related, although the source of the outbreak is under investigation.
